Excursion 1 – Mexico Day Trip
Friday, August 6th, 2027 10am – 4pm
We roll out of downtown San Diego at 10AM sharp—packed into a luxury coach with air conditioning cold enough to hang meat. By 10:30, we’ve crossed the border and landed in a different universe entirely.
First stop: Friendship Park. It’s where the border wall stabs into the Pacific like some cold war relic—and yeah, it’s surreal. We’ll throw on the provided sombreros and sarapes—yes, it’s cheesy, but it’s also a hell of a photo op—then pose proudly in front of the iconic Tijuana sign.

Then we head south, past the chaos and into the calm. Welcome to Puerto Nuevo: a sleepy little fishing village where time slows down and everything smells like grilled shellfish and saltwater. This is Old Mexico—where the beer is cold, the air tastes like freedom, and the mariachi music never really stops.
We’ll settle in for lunch: classic tacos with rice and beans. Simple. Perfect. Want lobster? Upgrade. It’s what Puerto Nuevo is famous for—cracked open, drowned in butter, served with warm tortillas and attitude.

Afterward, browse the shops, pick up some kitschy souvenirs you’ll pretend you didn’t buy, and soak up the sun while live music drifts through the streets.
Worried about safety? Don’t be. Puerto Nuevo’s safer than most American cities. It’s quiet, friendly, and full of old folks and families just like you. The Sultan lives here, for God’s sake. You’re rolling with a local.
